S​outhampton Historical Society

On Tuesday, November 3, 2015 the Everett Honor Guard held a special flag raising ceremony at the Southampton Township Municipal Building. The oldest veteran in attendance, Clifford Simmons, presented the American Flag to Larry Garlock who then raised both the American and Pennsylvania Flags. Representative Jesse Topper spoke about the respect our area shows for our veterans and how our veterans are super heroes for what they have done. Over 25 veterans were in attendance, six of which were over the age of 80. A solar light was then attached to the pole and the American Flag that once flew over the former Chaneysville-Cove Elementary School now flies again.
